Natural gas
Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to collect facts about natural gas, focusing mainly on the situation in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the thesis discusses the natural gas in general - its properties, world resources, ways of production and usage. The main part of the thesis deals with supply and accumulation of natural gas in the Czech Republic. Secondly, enumeration and brief description of possibilities of natural gas substitution is presented. Finally, comparison of usage of classic non-condensing and condensing boiler for a family house heating is introduced. Recommendation of boiler type based on the model example is included as well.
Modern Trends of Heating of Family House
Dohnal, Jakub ; Suk, Ladislav (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with modern trends of heating of family house. At the beggining is indicated brief history and current sources for heating of family houses. After this is described a research of various technologies for heating with their advantages and disadvantages. The last part is given to comparison all methods of heating and overall evaluation.
Future energy sources
Hatiar, Peter ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Škvařil, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of energy resources. It deals with the energy challenges for the coming decade, it briefly describes the various energy resources and assesses their potential. Given the scale of that issue, the work is focused on the use of energy resources, especially for electricity production.
Combustion of renewable liquid fuels
Shylin, Ivan ; Skryja, Pavel (referee) ; Kermes, Vít (advisor)
The main task of the thesis is the survey of renewable fuels available in Czech Republic and in the world, and to compare them with present petroleum products. In the first part of the thesis important properties of the liquid fuels are defined along with corresponding national and international standards. In the next chapters petroleum and renewable liquid fuels are presented. The second part of the thesis is concentrating on atomization. In the conclusion there is a summarization of difficulties with renewable fuels.
Measurement of the properties of solid and liquid fuels (biofuels)
Horák, Jakub ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Moskalík, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays there are large numbers of standard methods for measuring the properties of fuels. With the increasing number of new methods to an already confusing issue of measurement of fuel becomes even more confusing. This thesis therefore deals with the measurement of the energy properties of solid and liquid fuels (biofuels). The introduction is carried out searches of solid and liquid fuels (biofuels). Search is focused on the description of each type of fuel, their properties and adjustments to the final form suitable for combustion. The next part deals with the sampling of fuel, which divides the sampling and preparation of samples for laboratory testing. The last section describes the methods of measurement of selected energy fuel properties and selects appropriate methods. Methods of measurement of selected properties is then checked in the laboratory.
Fossil fuels use in Czech Republic
Trávníček, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to collect facts about fossil fuels and their utilization in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the thesis discusses the fossil fuels and their division in general. The main part of the thesis is focused on mining and utilization of different kinds of fossil fuels in the Czech Republic with the emphasis being put on the brown coal, black coal and the natural gas. The oil and the lignite are briefly dealt with as well. The thesis includes the statistics of the fossil fuels‘ production of the mining companies, the summary of the big energy facilities in the Czech Republic and the mapping of their fuel bases.
Possibilities of Heating of Family House
Řezníček, Jan ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
With the growing interest in cost saving and environmental protection we are trying to take advantage of new trends in building insulation and heating. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the issues and options for heating these buildings using new technologies and methods, to describe the design of individual boilers, their properties and uses depending on the type of fuel, and to assess the economic performance of selected heating options for a particular building.
Combustion of Solid Fuel in Unsuitable Boilers
Ondrůj, Jakub ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to investigate the combustion of various solid fuels and experimentally verify the environmental impacts of combustion of selected solid fuels in inappropriate boilers. The first part of the thesis is focused on the determination of solid fuel burning conditions and the second part describes the basic combustion tests, the comparison of the measured emissions during combustion of selected fuels and the comparison of these results with the valid emission limits.
Methods of CO2 separation from air, ways of its use and long-term storage
Kober, Ondřej ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
Combustion of fossil fuels creates greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. The most important of these gases is carbon dioxide. Although it occurs naturally in the atmosphere, human emissions upset the balance of various natural processes. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to conduct a background research in the field of carbon dioxide capture, storage and utilization. The thesis also describes the role of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, its cycle and human influence on carbon dioxide concentration.
"Too cool to pretend to care"
Vinklárková, Tereza ; Remešová, Anna (referee) ; Sterec, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the project is to capture the consumer attitude of society, the millennial culture, fake news, as well as planetary and social changes. It presents a stylized post-ironic statement of mostly narcissistic millennials, whose social platforms have become the main platform for expression, forcing us to reflect on the variety of information we are surrounded by and the need of its selection. It also opens the discussion about the phenomenon of denying the existence of climate change visible through the absurd arguments and the phenomenon of geoengineering, targeted human interventions in natural processes, primarily to permanently or at least temporarily cool the planet.
